Police apprehends MTN Employees and Bankers who defraud customers of N150m


Two employees of the telecommunications giant,MTN,three bankers and six other people have been apprehended by the Operatives of the Police Special Fraud Unit (PSFU) over defrauding subscribers of N150 million.

Apprehended Suspects are:

Chukwunonso Ifeanyi and Okpetu John (both confirmed as MTN employees)
Oyelade shola,Osuolale Hammid and Akeem Adesina.

Other Suspects are ICT specialists namely:
Salako Abdulsalam,a Pastor, James Idagu,Sarumi Abubakar,Ismaeel Salami, Akinola Oghuan and Sunday Okeke.

The suspects were arrested in  Oyo,Kwara and Lagos states with several ATM cards to accounts in which money defrauded are being  diverted.

The police made it known that the suspects belonged to a syndicate that specializes in defrauding bank customers who do not use internet banking.
