Eagles need concentration-Ndidi

Super Eagles stars have said SCORENigeria they expect South Africa to give them a tough game on Saturday, but they still expect to extend their dominance over the Bafana Bafana. Both teams have met 12 times at this level with South Africa only recording a win over Nigeria in a friendly in 2004.

Leicester City midfielder Wilfred Ndidi will start against South Africa in the absence of skipper Mikel Obi and told SCORENigeria the Eagles were on course for victory on Saturday. “We will give our best and that way we will win,” he predicted.

“We need to be 100% concentrated because it will be a tough game but we also know we need to win the game,” further offered Portugal- based Mikel Agu, who made his debut in the recent friendly against Corsica in Ajaccio. Shehu Abdulahi also said the spirit in the team’s training camp was high ahead of the AFCON 2019 qualifier in Uyo. The Anorthosis Famagusta of Cyprus ace also said the players were battle ready to beat Bafana Bafana.

“The training has been going on well ahead of the game with South Africa,” he told said “Our spirit is high individually and as a team to beat South Africa. “We will do our best on the pitch to get the desired result which is victory.”
