[SPORT NEWS] Arsenal set to seal double deal: Gunners ready to trigger contract extensions for star duo

The Gunners are ready to trigger extensions in the contracts of Per Mertesacker and Santi Cazorla, The Mirror report.
Mertesacker and Cazorla's current deals run out in the summer.
The duo are both past 30, but Arsene Wenger doesn't want to lose them.

Mertesacker, 32, hasn't played this season after getting crocked on the eve of the campaign.
Wenger splashed out £35m on Shkodran Mustafi to replace him and he's former a solid partnership with Laurent Koscielny at the back.
Club captain Mertescker will struggle to edge out either of Arsenal's new centre-back partnership, but would provide experienced cover from the bench next term.
Cazorla, meanwhile, has also been ravaged by injury.
The Spaniard, 32, was pulling the strings in midfield before being struck down with an Achilles problem.
He's not played since October and isn't expected back before March.
Despite spending most of the campaign out injured, Arsenal are still ready to keep the international ace on board.
Cazorla is still a first-team starter for Wenger when fit and could win his place back when he gets fully fit.
The double deal for Mertesacker and Cazorla comes as new contract talks drag on with star duo Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez.
